What Jesus did for you: |
|
|
Jesus was born so
that He could take your
place and give you His! “…all have sinned
and fall short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23,
NKJV) “…whoever commits
sin is a slave of sin.” (John 8:34, NKJV) These facts show that we are all guilty of breaking God’s law, and that we are also enslaved to our own sinfulness. Thankfully, Jesus came as one of us to provide the solution for all of us! “But when the
fullness of the time had come, God sent forth
His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those
who were under the law, that we might
receive the adoption as sons.” (Galatians 4:4-5,
NKJV) “Let this mind be
in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the
form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with
God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form
of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found
in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became
obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” (Philippians
2:5-8, NKJV) |

|
|
Jesus died so that
you would not have to
die! “…the wages of
sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23,
NKJV) This death-sentence is not simply a physical end of life, but rather a life of spiritual separation from God. And if you die without being reunited with God, that separation will become permanent, as you spend eternity in Hell! But Jesus died to end that separation between you and God! “…God
demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were
still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8,
NKJV) “For Christ also
suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might
bring us to God…” (1 Peter 3:18,
NKJV) |
|
Jesus arose from
the dead so that you could
have a new life! “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may
die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in
Me shall never die.” (John 11:25-26,
NKJV) Believing in Jesus Christ means being given eternal life. Eternal life is not the absence of physical death, but rather the end of your spiritual separation from God, from now on into eternity! Believing in Jesus Christ means letting your old life of sin die and embracing the new life that He has for you to start living right now! “…just as Christ
was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also
should walk in newness of life. For if we have
been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also
shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this,
that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of
sin might be done away with, that we should no
longer be slaves of sin.” (Romans 6:4-6,
NKJV) “Therefore, if
anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have
passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians
5:17, NKJV) |

What you should do for Jesus: |
|
|
You should admit
that you are a sinner! “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us. If we confess our
sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:8-9,
NKJV) You cannot be saved from the price of your sins, until you believe that
you are sinner who needs to be saved! |
|
|
You should believe
what the Bible says about Jesus! “Moreover,
brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you
received and in which you stand, by which also you
are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you -- unless you
believed in vain. For I delivered
to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to
the Scriptures, and that He was buried,
and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures…” (1 Corinthians
15:1-4, NKJV) You cannot simply believe something about Jesus to be saved. You must believe what the Bible says about Jesus to be saved! |
|
|
You should call on
the Lord Jesus to save you! “…if you confess
with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised
Him from the dead, you will be
saved. For with the heart one believes
unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation… For ‘whoever
calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.’” (Romans 10:9-10,
13, NKJV) You must make the decision to either call on Jesus for salvation or
continue living life without Him. Ultimately, it is your choice, but make sure that it is the right
one! Your future depends upon it! If you would like
to be saved, but do not know what to say, you can simply
pray a prayer like this one: “Dear Jesus, I
have sinned against You and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that
You died in my place. And I believe
that You arose from the
dead. Please save me and give me a new
life. I give my life
to You. Amen.” |
